I’ve DJed and recorded music since the mid-2000s as ZNTN and, more occasionally, as Goncalo.
I created the mix-tape series that later became the record label and NTS Radio show How the Other Half Lives (see also here).
My first solo record, Way Back Home, was released in 2010 on Astro Lab Recordings, backed with a remix by DFA’s Shit Robot.
I’ve also remixed artists including Au Revoir Simone, Detachments, Alice Russell, Tim Fairplay, and The Deadstock 33s & Stopmakingme on my own imprint.
I’ve done a regular monthly guest spot on Radio Oxigenio on Principio da Incerteza, as well as a regular monthly show at Radio Quantica, which I helped build and manage from the ground up.
I’ve put on club nights like Dig We Must in Lisbon, bringing over people like Kruton, Andy Blake, and Helium Robots. I also held residencies at Whiskey Tears with guests like Youth, Alex Egan, and Edwin Congreave, and at The Beat! with guests like Cage And Aviary, Andy Blake, and Simon Carr.
I’ve released and worked on records with people including Shit Robot, Justin Robertson, Optimo, Andrew Weatherall, Timothy J Fairplay, Daniel Avery, Photonz, Alice Russell, Clouded Vision, and Tiago.
